Visit the Spectacular Washington Coast - Why Drive all the Way to Oregon?
Beautiful Pacific Beach, WA and miles of sandy beaches await you just 2 1/2 hours from Seattle.  Visit
seastack rocks north at Point Grenville and south at Copalis Beach.  50 miles of wide, sandy beaches are
found in Grays Harbor county between Westport/Grayland and Ocean Shores to Point Grenville on the
Quinault Indian Nation.  Why drive 4 hours to Cannon Beach?

Pictured above is the little-known volcanic reef off of Point Grenville at sunset.  The Quinault Indian Nation
has two fabulous beaches: a rocky beach off the town of Taholah with the giant rocks of Cape Elizabeth in
view across the Quinault River mouth and Point Grenville, where the wide sandy beaches end and across a
six foot high rock wall you find a hidden beach of volcanic gravel and a dozens of offshore rocks - two with
arches through them.  Check out my blog for details on obtaining a tribal beach pass:

Griffiths-Priday State Park at Copalis Beach, Copalis Rock and Copalis State Airport (planes land on the
beach!), Cape Elizabeth and mouth of the Quinault at Taholah, indoor waterpark at the Hoquiam YMCA,
Quinault Beach Resort and Casino, Hoh Rain Forest, Kalaloch coastline and Ruby Beach, the Sandpiper
Trail at the Grays Harbor NWR for birdwatching, the Ocean Shores Electric Boat Company for a spin on
Duck Lake and the Grand Canal, Westport for its Gray Harbor Lighthouse and the stunning Destruction
Island lens at the maritime museum.

Make sure you end your day back on the ocean for the sunset.
